the Mersey” if one had sunk and people had been drowned.

Are they not still allegations at this time?

stabbing a woman to death, and probably someone decided that
wasn't a great look - even if it is a great tune. The crowd
don't really sing it on their own and by all account it's been a
very rare thing to hear for the last decade. The choir hasn't
sung it for 7 years apparently. So it's a non-story.

absolutely fine, everyone's entitled to their own opinion - but
it's a bit different to people being told not to sing it. The
crowd are perfectly welcome to sing it like they've been able to
do (and not done) for years...

And there was me thinking it was about a crime of passion
committed against an unfaithful lover.
As mentioned previously and elsewhere, it doesn't glorify,
promote or celebrate anything. It's a story that's fictional,
told through a song.

Are you, what? If you sing, just if you sing a song you get
arrested and thrown in jail?

Not on here it hasn't. Being able to read and understand a
newspaper article isn't virtue signalling.😁

Hope everyone enjoyed the rousing rendition by the Cardiff
crowd. Though they changed the lyrics a bit. Something about
some fields in Athenry?

I’m pretty sure it was the choir doing FOA. I honestly don’t
understand playing a song for your opposition, it’s your home
game, don’t give the oppo a nice sing song.
