Can we beat the clock
I don't get why forwards still. Insist on pick and goes when the
dropout changes have removed so much of the advantage.

I'm so pleased we made the effort to use the free tickets!
A 7pm start on a train strike Friday always meant it was going
to be a tight run thing, but we really didn't expect to get
there 5 minutes late to discover we'd already missed 3 tries!!!
Fortunately that was only a taster of the action to come, and
the atmosphere was amazing, especially given that only the West
stand was open!

Two Caldy players featured there . Nye Thomas on bench for
England and Will Robinson starts for Scotland. Not bad for a
fully amateur team from the championship that the RFU tried to
stop being promoted into that league !!

Come on mate, you know Thomas isn’t a fully amateur Caldy
player.

Very entertaining open clean game and congrats to both sides and
the ref for keeping it flowing.
England were a bit like Quins- blowing a 21 point lead achieved
with great fast play and then coming back to win.
It was a good atmosphere with plenty of Scottish support and it
was good to sit near the families of the boys on the pitch
cheering them on.
My only gripe was the lateness of the crowd getting to their
seats (first 20 mins of the game) . 7pm kick off probably didn’t
help but many were simply queuing for food and drink.
The first half in my seat was spent trying to see the game amid
a stream of people arriving late, getting up to go to the
toilet, fetch more drink or going back for food

That crowd problem was due to Quins closing access to the
southern half of the west stand around the rear.

I can't understand why they put us all in the West stand.
Why didn't they put us all in the East stand. Then they wouldn't
have had the problem of fans being unable to get to their seats
due to the tunnel being closed.
During the second half, we just sat in the North stand (close to
the bars)
