I think it was just a sound bite anyway. Who exactly did he pick
on form? OHC and Curry? Wasn't a resounding success.

The fact Youngs makes the squad is laughable, based on what? His
contribution last game was kicking it away which led to a series
of play leading to the winning try. Top stuff.
Anyway, harsh on Murley however it is a hotly contested
position. I think OHC was never realistically going to be binned
after 1 game and might get a few more to see if he sinks or
swims, which is I guess fair enough. I'd rather know now if he
can make it at this level, then finding out closer to, or during
the WC.

I agree about OHC, you've got to give him a fair chance. As for
Youngs, how many chances has hehad now? I can't remember him
having many decent games since the semi-final against New
Zealand. I know Care didn't really take his chance in Australia
but he's got to be better than BY coming on and booting the ball
away when we need to score!

He'll get his chance eventually - it's just a very competitive
position and difficult for any player picked to really make that
much of an impression when your main job is going to be chasing
box kicks (in which case, pick your tallest back-three players
possible).
JVP needs more chances, but he needs a bit more zip about him -
like he had in Australia when he played. Certainly some doubt
as to whether he is the right choice when Mitchell and Quirke
have also earned chances. As for Youngs, he's definitely
looking like time might be up (or has for a while of course).
Would help if the back-row could clear beyond the ball like
Scotland's did on the weekend which enabled White to get it away
quickly. I'd replace Curry with Willis and keep Earl on the
bench.
Think we need to pick Smith or Farrell - if it's the latter then
so be it but don't be afraid to sub Farrell off. In the absence
of Kelly. I'd go with Smith-Manu-Marchant this weekend, but I'd
accept Farrell-Manu-Slade (begrudgingly).

I'd be annoyed if it was anyone but Arundell, who looks like he
could be something genuinely special.

Raffi’s a little off the pace at the moment. Seems to be trying
to force it a bit
