I think it was the sentence about the players “not being fussed”
that people found rather silly.
We’ve been terrible today.
We beat sharks last week.
So Maidstone claiming we are abysmal is rather over the top.
And saying the team don’t try during England periods also makes
it hard to have a genuine conversation.

One of those occasions where Carley’s manner exacerbates tense
situations. Herbst shouldn’t shout at him but the frustration is
somewhat understandable.

Which I think perfectly highlights just how badly we get screwed
over by the completely unfair salary cap.
With the cost of living being so much lower, especially in the
Midlands and North, the likes of Tigers and Saints can build
more overall squad depth, whereas the London clubs have to
choose between...
1. The Irish approach of fewer top quality players, so more
consistent across the season, but consistently mediocre.
2. The Quins approach of having the top flight players to win
games outside the international windows whilst looking dreadful
during them.
3. The Sarries approach of "cheating" the salary cap, even
though the amount they overspent by probably still didn't
actually make up for the advantage given to the non-London clubs
by the lack of a London weighting.

Irish have stopped playing and at least 2 LBPs still at stake.
As bad as it’s been, that’d be something.
Rest of this team doesn’t deserve will evans. What a nuisance.
