HARLEQUINS HOOKER JACK WALKER IS THE LATEST PLAYER TO SIGN
ANOTHER DEAL WITH THE CLUB.
The Yorkshire-born and bred 26-year-old began his playing career
with Yorkshire Carnegie in 2013, making his debut aged just 17
years and 160 days, and becoming the youngest-ever forward for
the club. Two years later in 2015, Walker became the
youngest-ever captain for Carnegie.
In 2014, Walker was part of England’s World Championship-winning
U20s side alongside fellow Harlequins Aaron Morris and James
Chisolm.
Walker joined Harlequins ahead of the 2021/22 season from
Premiership rivals Bath, making an instant impact as he
established himself as one of the form hookers in the Gallagher
Premiership.
Off the back of his debut season for the London club, in June
2022 Walker was called into Eddie Jones’ England squad for their
tour of Australia.

Delighted to re-sign with Harlequins, Walker said: “It’s great
to sign a new deal with Harlequins. I’ve enjoyed every minute of
my first two seasons since starting with this team. Being in
this club and squad has been nothing but a fantastic experience.
“Playing in knockout rugby and receiving a call up to the
national side have been highlights of my time with Harlequins so
far, but this is a hugely enjoyable place to come in to work at
every day.
“This is an exciting team to be a part of and I’m looking
forward to what comes next.”
Harlequins Lineout and Defence Coach Jerry Flannery said: “Jack
continues to be a standout presence in the front-row and we’re
delighted to have him re-sign.
“His set-piece work is always reliable and he remains a huge
asset to this club both on and off the field.
“Being selected for England is a testament to his hard work and
dedication. At just 26 he has an incredibly exciting career
ahead of him and we’re thrilled that he’s made the decision to
continue it at Quins.”

We have a great stable of 4 all-young hookers now. I hope we can
keep them all !!!!!

I think we've been lucky getting this signing done now, rather
than after the 6 Nations. If he plays (and plays well) for
England, his worth would've been higher on the transfer market.

He'd have known that, surely? I know front row don't have a
great reputation for intellect but I can't believe we've been
crafty here.

And looking at his first England cap as well, maybe even a
starter. Good few weeks for him. Now for God's sake, hit double
top everytime!!!

There’s a comment in his Instagram story that he’s happy to be
at Quins for the next few years.
