       This season the train between Reading & Twickenham has basically
       been impossible. My usual route in years gone by was
       Didcot-Reading-Twickenham. I haven't been able to do that at all
       this season even once. Most of the time I've had to go up to
       Oxford, then on the Chiltern Chugger around to Marylebone,
       across town, & back out. While it's a nice scenic route, it's
       about 30% longer in terms of time, plus the "joys" of the
       Bakerloo line as well.

       Apparently Gunnersbury Station on the Tube, either from Richmond
       or Earls Court, is 10-15 minutes walk from the stadium. Trains
       are running to Richmond AFAIK.
