Despite the England call-ups, we should still be able to put out
a decent side:
Marler
Head
Louw
Herbst
Lewies
Lamb
Evans
Lawday
Care
Allan (looks like he is at Italy training camp this week but
back for the weekend)
Basset
Esterhuizen
Anyanwu
Beard
David
Riley
Baxter
Kerrod
Hammond
Wallace (or J Chis?)
Edwards
Steele
Morris

If I were Quins and the precedent that England and the RFU have
set with “releasing” Farrell so he can complete his ban, I would
expect all of our internationals to be available. If they aren’t
released, then it is even more of a farce.

They didn't release him. It's not their choice anyway, it's
Borthwick's. They just confirmed that theoretically he could be
released so it counted in his ban.
Would you feel better if the RFU confirmed that our players
could theoretically be released? Or would it be better if they
were released and missed the Scotland game?

Don't think this will be too far off.
Despite the shirt numbers, yesterday Lewies was packing down at
blindside and Lamb at lock. Expect they'll stick with this.
Fingers crossed Chisholm is back in the 23 for Irish. With
Dombrandt out we could do with his muscle.

We once went to a Flaming Lips gig at the Hammersmith Apollo
(IIRC - but definitely in London), and they asked the crowd
whose birthday it was so they could sing Happy Birthday to them.
After a couple of names were shouted and duly sung to, someone
shouted “It’s Brian’s birthday!”… which the rest of the crown
instantly got and began chanting for Brian.
The band, meanwhile (who are American), were clearly aware that
something odd was going on but equally were clearly totally
unaware of the reference. Still one of my favourite memories
from a gig.

It's been done to death, but how else would the ban work? If
he's banned for Scotland and the Bristol game doesn't count then
England in all likelihood would release him back to Sarries for
the Bristol game to give him a run-out. So then he's playing in
a game before his ban expires?
