Surely we're only picking him because he's the best we've got
left?

In this world of kindness that we are reputed to live in might
be kinder to say ‘the best available uninjured winger/back’”

I agree to a point. I would certainly pick Murley over Aaron.
However - check back on his previous performance (on the wing as
opposed to at fullback).
You will see that he made a very positive impact in games and if
you check through the comments on this board, you will find that
people's opinions were generally favourable.
Lets not bash a player just because he got injured.

Murley and Lynagh would be most people's first choice picks.
Then you have Bassett, Morris and Beard in the mix. If Green if
the first choice 15, David is in consideration too.
If both Marchant and Northmore are fit, both are probably
involved in the 23, so probably no room for another back 3
player.
I'm not sure it's right to say he's the best we have available
at the moment. Beard and Bassett would have something to say
about that. not bashing the guy, but not sure he's necessarily
deserving of a start at the moment. I've not been amazed with
Bassett. He's done some good stuff but not hugely caught the
eye. Beard I do like the look of, and I suspect we'll be seeing
a lot more of him with Marchant going, as back up to Northmore /
back 5 cover on the bench

I wasn't bashing him. I was bashing your over-complicated
selection analysis. 😁

I still can’t see enough evidence to clearly show that the ball
wasn’t grounded. The ref had awarded the try and the TMO butted
in so surely there must be clear evidence. You can’t see the end
of the ball because his arm is round it on the first grounding
but the size and angle of the ball looked like it was down to me
and then it looks down on the second attempt. Never mind , can’t
change it now and maybe we’ll get one chalked off against us.

I could sworn that the ball touched the ground on the second try
that was chalked off. In the end, it probably didn't matter for
that one as we scored a try a few seconds later

I agree. Ref called try so there should have been conclusive
evidence against but there wasn't, so try.
I think it looked down on the first go maybe, not sure about the
second, but if the on pitch call had been no try I don't think
it would have been given by any TMO.

The TMO was terrible

The TMO probably had access to more camera angles than we saw -
the TV producers seemed more than a little selective in what
they chose to display.
