Disagree. The Home Team generally allocate away fans seats
together if pushed plus I personally love being in a mixed
crowd.

It is interesting that he is saying that this is what the
players want.
The other interesting bit is that one of the first people to
reply was Louis Rees-Zammit who is totally agreeing with him.
I know that Will was one of the Bristanbul 500 and has seen this
from both sides. I have also seen Will at the Stoop trying to
get the South stand to give more vocal support when Quins were
pressing the tryline.
So - I guess that what he is really saying is that his
performance responds to vocal support.

I see this as the beginning of segregation which I definitely
would not want. However I think it is great to have the Quinssa
allocation all together. We also have to remember this works
against as well think Munster at the Stoop where they were all
over us in the stands as well as the pitch.

There is no need to have a football style segregation for sure
as the reasons behind that simply do not exist for rugby.
Smarter ticket allocations is the way forward which is probably
being done in places. Having the same section earmarked for away
fans to specifically purchase, whilst being open to home fans is
all you need.

Well LI have split the allocations this time at Brentford for
Quins so maybe not good to be too successful!

I don't think he's saying you have to segregate. You can have
both. Block of away fans who want to sit together, then in other
areas fans can intermingle.
When going to an away game I generally like to sit with other
Quins fans. You can then still chat and drink with home fans
before and after the game. Equally though I am happy to sit with
home fans.
No reason why you can't have both really

Ultimately his message is:
noise -> atmosphere -> team morale -> better result

I can see both sides of the coin. Having blocks like the one at
La Defense or Bristanbul certainly seems to lift the team. On
the other hand, it would work against us at home for just the
same reason. When I go to away games I tend to get my ticket
from the opposition club so I end up sat with the locals. If I
knew there was a block that was suggested for away supporters,
I'd probably buy in that section, but I wouldn't want that to be
the only area that I could get a ticket in.
I definitely don't want there to be segregation. I enjoy mixing
with opposition supporters both at The Stoop & at other grounds.
I think there's definitely a case for clubs to suggest that
visiting fans may want to congregate in certain sections, but
they should be free to buy wherever they want. The only proviso
I would put in is that all clubs need to make the leap together.
If we designate, say, the North East end blocks of North & East
stands as the area Away fans may want to congregate, there has
to be a reciprocal agreement at all grounds among the
Premiership.
