French media reporting that Andre is close to signing for Lyon!
This would really be disastrous for Quins

That would not be good news at all.

Thought he is under contract for next season?
If true, we are certainly freeing up some cap space. While it's
never great to see a good player go, always worth seeing who
comes in.

He is contracted until 2025 which suggests that Lyon are happy
to pay a substantial fee to get him.

He said he had signed until 2025 in June last year -

If he did join Lyon they would have to pay a hefty transfer fee.
Montpellier paid €1m+ for Picamoles from Northampton. Andre is
so crucial to our gameplan that we'd surely be asking in excess
of that.

But money would literally be compensation. Unless we could
somehow replace like for like it would be bad news for the club
and bad news for the supporters.

If we let him go this club really is brainless.
Stinks of, how can we get more money following the failure of
TBG.
We will be terrible next season if he goes, considering he
offers us so much. Lesigh

I can only see us letting him go if either the amount is huge
and the player wants to go / the club is in worse financial
position than we have been led to believe

Imagining the club isn’t financially knackered would seem to be
a dangerous point of view.
We might hate it but it might make total financial sense if it’s
a big pay off.
Losing the big game at December will have been a massive hit on
finances that were already a long way from breaking even.
