No news from the disciplinary panel yet then. I assume there
working through the letter from his Mum saying what a good boy
he was and always handed his homework in on time!

I would have thought the result would have been determined last
night & they're waiting until a set time (probably midday) to
make the official announcement.

4 weeks reduced to 3 if he undergoes World Rugby intervention
programme according to Robert Rees on twitter. Shock horror

You would think that he could teach that class with number of
times he must have been on it.

Apparently it’s zero. As in, he’s been on it zero times. Because
he hasn’t had a red for a high shot since the class was brought
in.

So the reports say Farrell will be able to play for England
against Scotland on 4 Feb - he misses the two European games and
the premiership game the weekend of 28/29 Jan. Does this mean
that Marcus (and any other Quins in the England squad) will play
for us against Irish that weekend? Or is this another one of
those funny England rules that seem to vary by club?

Hardly a surprise though, can't have the RFU being too harsh on
anyone who plays for their mates (Bath, Harlequins, Saracens and
Wasps) can we? [emoji848]

My understanding is that no England players will be playing that
weekend - especially those expected to play v Scotland.
However it’s catch-22 for Farrell. If he’s available, he plays
for Scotland so the weekend of 28/29th isn’t a viable fixture.
But that makes him not available for Scotland. So the 28/29th is
a viable fixture.
Chalk it up to the same thinking that meant Nick David was
available for the BaaBaas game and the Prem Cup match the next
night.

If they were that matey with Quins they'd have let Marcus Smith
play against Salarycens earlier in the season (in the same game
which had zero England players missing for the other lot)
