Yeah unfortunately the quickest way for us to improve is to get
some first choice players back.
If we can't do that then it's time to stop rewarding mediocrity
and maybe giving some of the young talent a chance. It's not
like Baxter has disgraced himself and his impact around the
field is obvious to see.

I can’t believe there were people calling for Edwards to start -
he was awful today. He is a good 3rd choice, but he’s 3rd choice
for a reason

Sale take over 20 seconds to put the ball on at a lineout.
Nothing said. Pathetic reffing.

There's nothing lucky about collecting the ball from a
deliberately slapped back ball.

Ok. You’re right of course. As ever. Seems like the bounce
straight into Marchants hand was very lucky indeed but you’re
the expert.

I'll hold my hands up with Edwards. I was impressed with him
when he stepped in for Marcus at TBG13, and has had some decent
showings previously, but today he showed why he cannot be
Marcus' backup next season. It's all fine and well looking great
on a flat track in the sun, but the bulk of the season probably
won't be that.

The bounce was true, which isn't lucky. Had it bounced wildly
then it would've been unlucky. Marchant did excellently to
chase, predict, and gather.
Writing it off as a lucky try ignores everything good about it
and just seems really sour, which the nature of your response to
me backs up. I'm not insulting you so I don't think I deserve
it.

1 point from the last 15 available, and 2 of those games at
home… yikes

I don't think we'll be turning any heads until after the six
nations, sadly.
If he can stay fit, Launchbury should solve one huge problem for
us next season. The sustained absence of Lewies makes me
question why/how we've not brought in an injury replacement for
him. The back five of the scrum is a real issue for us.
Agree that Marchant hasn't been himself recently and if we had
Northmore I'd be calling for him to start, so Lennox it is.
Beard for Bassett too, though that's less pressing.
