This is it in terms of our confidence - coupled with missing
some key playmakers in both forwards and backs. We're looking
hopeless and devoid of any creative ideas at the moment. Sale
looking really dangerous when they're in our half.

All momentum lost now following that easy try.

Disgraceful reffing also disgracefully lauded by Ugo. Manu
exocets into a no arms tackle and smashes Allan in the head and
Barnes isn't even remotely concerned.

Any ideas what positive impact White had during his 53 mins in
the pitch? I’m sure he made the odd tackle but I genuinely
cannot think of anything else.

Tuilagi couldn't do much to prevent that, but I am disappointed
that Woodburn's contact in the air - which caused the collision
- isn't being looked at. Never in a position to contest the ball
and it lead to one HIA and a player leaving the field on a
stretcher. I would normally expect WB to be more thorough than
that.

Tuilagi could've tried to use his arms and not fly off his feet,
that's two things for a start.
Several minutes later, Allan is stretchered off.

Tuilagi could have, and should have, wrapped. Barnes dismissing
it is frankly bizarre, although he also dismissed the incident
where a player obstructed in the first half, highlighted by the
TMO.

Wishing Tommy well, hopefully not out for too long.
Massive 20 minutes now. Sale look completly on top, and our
scrum is creaking. For all the initial fanfare, its clear Baxter
isn't ready to step into Joes shoes yet.

It would be nice if the commentators could avoid having a
collective orgasm every time Manu gets the ball. Maybe even
mention the times that he's been stopped by a good tackle from
just one player.

Barnes is following Pearce's lead as treating it as more
important to make a snap decision and move on than to actually
get it right
