here for proclaiming we're terrible and definitely going to lose
early on in matches only to have to backtrack when we've won
again? A magic 8 ball has a better track record.

People put stuff on eBay they don't want any more - are you sure
that's the point you're trying to make? :-)

Why are you writing in the third person? Did you forget which
username you were logged in with?

I disagree. Louw was also good when he came on, and Murley
played well in the main.

Louw is a massive loss for us next season.his carrying has been
immense. Collier edges it at scrum mind.

We can get back on the horse by beating Sale but need a few
players back pronto or that top 4 place will slip away

Unfortunately that performance was a bit inevitable for the
following reasons:-
1) A demoralising home loss to Bristol which we all know we
should have won
2) Only a 6-day turnaround since that loss
3) The unwanted distraction of Marler's indiscretion
4) Injuries - plenty particularly leading to an unbalanced back
row in particular
Not surprised by the result and I'm attending the home game next
week against Sale with some trepidation. However we're still
(unbelievably) 3rd in the table and Tabai suggested a number of
players would be returning from injury in the next week or so,
so I'm hopeful that this might be the low point with a
turnaround in fortunes on the horizon

Well, to me it seemd too often we were "worked out" by
Northampton. Look at that near intercept try Danny threw in the
latter stages of the game. Their defence was excellent and we
made too little ground with the ball in hand, resulting in the
kick fest that the game became (and that we often lost in terms
of territory). Our defence on the other hand was often lacking
out wide, leading to a number of tries (and a few butchered
ones) where it turned out they had a man (or more) over on the
outside. Not all their tries were the result of skill, some were
just opportunities grasped - but they all count and we couldn't
seem to do the same. Our lineout started out well, but was soon
bedevilled by the problems of the previous game. it was obvious
from the beginning that this was going to be a tough game, I
think it was more or less the 20 minute mark before we finally
got into their 22.

Given that both are prone to injury and are our stronger
openside options, I wonder how much longer we can afford to have
a back row with both Kenningham and Evans starting. Much as I
like seeing them on the team sheet, is it time that they were
managed to ensure coverage across the year rather than both
start then get injured?
