It rings a bell that Saints tried to jazz it up a bit a few
seasons ago but there were so many complaints they ditched it.

Chatting with a good few in the terrace after and complimented
them on the noise, probably also helps they have various
different chants that they all know , and a couple of new once
since we last visited

Yeah, good size crowd and a good main song go a long way!

Main issue with our song is that it is fundamentally quite a
dirge. Not designed to be sung in unison and Bob Dylan is not
famous for his choral work. Other than the fact is has the word
quin in it, it’s actually quite a difficult song to get excited
by. Over the years others have tried to introduce other ideas
but always shouted down. Our run out music has changed for the
worse this season imho, bring back something more serious and
slightly more menacing than generic house music presently used.
Interruption music has to go, too loud, totally inappropriate
choices of song and unnecessary. Overall atmosphere and match
day has been poor this season.

The whole PA system is a bit weird, I find.
We were out behind the South stand queuing for hot chocolate
when the groundsman was getting his send-off, and could hear it
perfectly. Better than we would in our seats!

Our run out music (assuming it is still "Rise") is really dire.
Music in stoppages in play I'm against too. Doesn't help with
atmosphere and I don't really see the point.
Sadly I've barely been to the Stoop this season, but when I have
been I thought the atmosphere was ok. As usual, it is often
dictated to an extent by how the team is doing, and the type of
crowd in for the game (Friday night vs Saturday afternoon). If
the team is really flat, the crowd will naturally end up a bit
flat too

I also feel that the atmosphere can vary depending on location.
My regular seat is in the back few rows of the West Stand** and
on occasion I've sat in the South Stand, and each has a
different atmosphere.

Although, the "South Stand Rumble" doesn't seem to happen any
more.
But, it is handy having the blokes from the podcast with the
drum sitting there.

Bond - Kashmir was always a good pre match warm up. Even little
things like when there was a scuffle, "Give peace a chance" was
played it created a bit of a jovial atmosphere. Those were the
days.
