Match day atmosphere

Is the atmosphere being hampered by the constant music in breaks
in play?
Or is it necessary as the chanting just isn’t there

I found it all a bit OTT and seemed to subtract away from a more
fan led atmosphere. There were fewer chorus’ of TMQ being sung,
which I always enjoy, and certainly less prompts than we used to
get via the speakers to get us into gear.

Call me old fashioned but I hate ‘the musical breaks’ and like
to talk and discuss. It’s made worse as at the beginning and
half time we cannot even hear the announcements eg groundsmen
leaving. I am in the DHL

The last match I was at (a while back I'll admit) the South
Stand were just starting their own chorus of "The Mighty Quinn"
at a break in play as the music came on and drownded them out!
Own goal!

We don’t need the persistent music over the PA to create an
atmosphere. It’s awful yes they are actually killing the real
atmosphere.
Couldn’t discuss the game at half time with people next to me
due to the horrendous volume of the excitable PA announcer. Turn
it down mate please!
They tried booming music in play breaks at Kingsholm a few years
ago apparently supporters booed every time killing it off.

It was an awful and quite frankly embarrassing performance.
Quins didn’t look like winning from about 20 minutes into it.
No wonder there was zero atmosphere. I left at halftime and
wasn’t the only one.

Left at halftime, seems a bit silly based on recent fight backs,
but pay your money make your choice
But have to admit I think the overall match day experience seems
to be more aimed at those looking for a “ Party atmosphere” and
not so much the rugby

How did the fight back go yesterday?

I’m not a season ticket holder and was lucky enough to get
tickets considering most there probably were ST holders, and
frankly I was very very disappointed at the lack of rugby
enthusiasm.
I was in the South Stand, and very few appeared to comment on
things/express any observations. What I mean by that, is
reacting to certain decisions, shouting out any support etc and
overall came across as a crowd with very little rugby knowledge.
I’d have expected that over the road, but not in the Stoop,
where getting a ticket for most games is probably a luxury for
any supporter.

MQ - you were lucky it wasn't at the Big Stoop then. Rugby
knowledge there is diluted by 65,000 fans for the day.
