Line outs

We’ve got real problems here. Issue isn’t Walker. Kenningham was
our best line out jumper. Herbst is awesome, but too heavy to
use regularly. Means we’re down to back row and other second row
jumper. Lamb was ok, Hammond is inexperienced and struggles
agains people like luatua who can see we have one option.
Reality is, Matthews must start next game…BUT…we need a second
option, which means white has to start. Wallace is a good other
option. Very solid hands and I like him in the loose - good to
see him warming up. Not sure how matthias is at this level as a
primary jumper. It’s a big issue though.

Assumed Hammond was calling the line-out and it seemed virtually
every one was to himself.
One not straight from Walker but also timing of the jump seemed
to be out.
Lots to work on.

Quite right. People need to understand the reasons around
selection…Lineouts not all Walkers fault. Bristol knew Hammond
was only option and competed very well.
This is why we have so much movement and basically four lifters!
We don’t throw to Dommers as he is our main option off lineouts.
Issue now is no Lewies if he came back in he could play 6 and
Lawday 7.

Presumably if we had known WEV was going to be knocked out in
first 10 minutes Wallace would have been on the bench! Hindsight
is a wonderful thing.
Lawday is never a 7 and never has been. As NEV said on BT during
match we have 4 others who can scrap and it would be free for
all with no WEV.

Whether Walker is the sole reason or not, if its clearly not
working (and costing us badly) why did we not change it? His
confidence must have been shot by the end.
