Quins easily won that game. Just not on the scoreboard, which
doesn’t count anyway.

Today was the first time I just felt he had one eye elsewhere.
I do wonder if this end of season we may see a bit of a rebuild.
Would not shock me to see a few go
Marler
Lewies
Allan
Louw
Marchant
That's decent cap space there

Marler was excellent in the last few matches and put in loads of
carrying today plus a big effort in the scrum. Add in some nice
passes in attack and I'm not sure where the criticism is coming
from.

Played the ball on the ground before try line. If yes = penalty
Ball stripped backwards by Bristol, no knock on. Grounded by
Allen = try. Not even checked.
Poor from Karl today - allowed Bristol tacklers to constantly
roll in front of scrum half slowing ball down. Bristol in
attack, constantly sinking onto stomachs and sealing off at
nearly ever ruck - not once told to arrive up.
Every Bristol maul, two blockers in front of catcher. Not
penalised once.
Offsides ignored again and again.

Just didn't seem his usual self to me today. Everyone has off
days of course.

I think ultimately today showed where our approach/strength in
depth isn’t as good as it should be for a top team. We aren’t
consistent under Matson, and whilst we’ve always been hot or
cold there’s been more games recently we probably shouldn’t have
won (Irish and probably Racing).
White I didn’t notice, but not in the good Richard Hill way.
Walker cannot start again.
Allan I don’t think will be a massive miss when he goes.
Bristol’s defence was solid. We had so much ball 2nd half and
went no where which is alarming. It was a bit like a Sarries
defence and I congratulated Pat Lam on it. Had a chat with
Dallagio as well, so hopefully I can get on the panel soon.

The always go for the corner attitude is tiresome too - you have
to realise when that’s not working (all day today) and to take
the points. We did that vs Sale and won, so we’re clearly
capable of it, which makes it more frustrating when we have
ample opportunities to take 3 points and we don’t
