He was interviewed by Gary Richardson on Radio 4 this morning
and also said he would not change anything. So arrogant and no
one believes that having just lost to SA in the manner they did
that is true.
Without touching the players the way his coaching staff changed
every month was a joke.

Without wishing to jump on the Eddie bashing bandwagon too much,
I would just reflect that he stayed too long. I'd still like to
know what terms of reference the RFU gave him ie RWC or bust
etc....

I believe the RWC was a priority for the RFU but who knows how
they phrased it?

I don't care if we did win RWC under EJ. I bought tickets year
after year to watch England play in the AIs and 6N, and he short
changed me! In addition he now has me not intending to buy
tickets for England again until I can see the situation has
changed and I believe I'll get value for money for the ticket. I
don't require England to win every game or the like, but I want
to end the game thinking I watched some really great rugby and
not all of it was played by the opposition!

I am sure he “believed” he was in the right track.
Unfortunately there was no imperical evidence to suggest it.
Lose lots of / too many games that is measurable.
The “it will will be all right on the night” less measurable.
Shame someone can’t identify their problem. Suggest they
weren’t the right person. If one can’t appreciate the
perception and only believes their own narrative then you have
to think this person isn’t a good leader.
Rugby matches expect “customers” to pay to attend / view. So
those producing owe the paying public a performance.
That doesn’t necessarily mean a win, but a performance. An
entertainment.
If EJ doesn’t understand that and all he cares about is winning
World Cup that many of those spectating best part of 20 odd
times in the gap, will not attend, then he is not the right
person to be leading the team.
It suggests it is about his ego rather than those of the
National team and those funding his highly paid role.
Ultimately winning teams absorb and assume a winning mentality.
Pattern and repetition critical in teams.
Those that live and breathe winning, win.
Nothing beats that belief and pattern.
“So me a good loser and I will show you a loser” hmmm

If you follow Jones' apparent logic to its obvious conclusion,
none of the matches played up to the start of a RWC tournament
matter (results-wise) and none of them will matter after
(presumably, winning) the final, since the four-year cycle
presumably starts again after that. Doesn't that sound a bit
cockeyed ...?
