Nev to England???

Speculation in the Guardian that Nick Evans is top of Steve
Borthwick's list for his attack coach:
"... the name at the top of England’s wish list should be the
highly regarded Nick Evans, the former All Blacks fly‑half
now coaching at Harlequins. Not only does Evans have a good
working relationship with Marcus Smith, Alex Dombrandt and
others at Quins but he also has top-level Test experience, has
been living in England for almost 15 years and is employed
across the road from Twickenham. The only issue from the RFU’s
perspective is the 42‑year‑old Evans signed a
contract extension with Quins 10 months ago."

If you want the attack to really inspire the crowd Gleason has
to go who really didn’t have the credentials in the first place.
The obvious choices fall to:
NEV and Vesty the only names who will get it sparking.

Think you may have put 2 and 2 together to make 5 there. That
doesn't read to me like there's any actual scoop re: Borthwick's
preference - merely the musings of the author of the article,
no?

Doubt NEV would go to England anyway.
Besides, it’s the RFU. We will be probably have a randomer no
one has heard of from the Championship, or have someone you
wouldn’t even consider.

That's up to Borthwick.

The supposition in the original article is that Borthwick will
select Dombrandt & Smith as his first choices at 8 & 10, which
isn't a given. He may decide otherwise, meaning NEv's currency
is lessened.

I’d hazard a guess and say his retention level is better than
EJ’s
