To be fair to him, he's been perfectly decent on the wing. It's
just watching him at FB that I've been left preying for Tyrone
       and Lewis to hurry back!

I also hope we’re able to retain Bassett, he had made a real
impression since signing. The last mid-season injury cover I can
think of who fit in so well, so quickly was Tim Molenaar (who we
released as we’d signed Jamie Roberts…)
Completely understand that his family needs to come first and
moving for a short term contract is not sensible. But perhaps,
if we extended now, 2 & 1/2 years is enough stability to
       relocate?
We do have a lot of really promising back three players coming
through with Cleaves, Oresanya, Ojo and Slevin, but they’re all
only in their second Academy year. Would be ideal to have
Bassett’s experience and ability available while they develop.

Probably should have kept hold of Molenaar...

Don't wish to be harsh on Bassett and I know he's coping with
difficult circumstances, but I wouldn't be particularly fussed
if he went. He's been ok but not great. His run against sharks
       was a highlight

Good player who has really added something without Louis and
Tyrone there, but probably wouldn’t see much game time when
       they’re back.
This club produces high quality outside backs for fun; without
Bassett and Marchant there will still be Northmore, Lynagh,
Green, Murley, Beard, Cleaves, Oresanya and David who have all
played for England at age group or had a run in the first team.
Quality depth is not an issue without him, just short handed for
       the next six months.

I doubt it would be just about stability. He currently lives in
the Midlands, so with house prices in Surrey getting on for
twice the price and the stupid, unfair "one size doesn't fit
all" salary cap stacked against us and the other London clubs,
would we even be able to find the cash to allow him to relocate?

He's had some moments, and looked solid enough. As David, he's a
beautifully balanced runner, but has the occasional blip.
Our stock of backs is very impressive, and mostly very young.
Morris may well not be giving sufficient value for his amount of
game time. Green will hopefully come back as good as ever, and
       Lynagh too.
The difficulty with signing bigger name players (as opposed to
promoting from within) is giving everyone gametime if they all
       stay fit.

re David I think he’s a great runner and clear attacking threat.
Unlike Green and Brown previously he doesn’t have the same
ability to stay on his feet which means he does get turned over
quite frequently. Would like him to be more commanding under the
       high ball as well
