Maybe - but, from where we we sitting, we felt that there were
more people there than we were expecting - considering the
stupid kick-off time, the train strike, the terrible weather,
the world cup being on at the same time, the closeness to
Christmas and the perceived pointlessness of this competition.
It felt as though quite a few people came to their seats after
the footie finished.

According to Times this morning Attendance 7,444 last evening
which is probably about or just below Season Ticket Holders.

Does anyone know what the presentation at half time to the
groundsman was for? I wasn't listening but saw he was given a
framed shirt.

He was leaving the club after 13 years in charge of the pitch.
Yesterday was his last home game.

I'd never heard of him so I looked him up. Lovely quote near the
end of his Wiki entry:
