Not as simple as that is it. There needs to be a full statement,
one game off (presumably) and likely re-arranged at The Stoop
(what are the implications of that) as well as a pseudo BG14 at
a later date. Imagine the cry if the club simply say the game at
The Big Stoop is off with no further information.
Hopefully we will all be fully updated tomorrow.

Or get a backbone and say it is on at the big Stoop!
It’s no win either way, it could be a massive financial hit for
Quins if they cancel without official pressure so getting no
insurance payout. Also can they get back room staff for a game
at the Stoop? Can suppliers get provisions for a game at this
short notice? What are the restrictions/obligations for BT
coverage? Moves are being made to get the personnel for a game
at the Stoop but that could just be planning for that
eventuality. Not a simple decision so better to make the
statement when the outcome is settled in stone.

They aren't going to cancel. Whatever happens, the match will
go ahead, as there's absolutely nothing to prevent both teams
from getting there.
Given that, would they even be able to make an insurance claim
on the basis that fewer people have been able to get there?
Surely the insurers would just point out that they don't have to
refund anyone's tickets?
I would imagine that at the moment one of the biggest factors
for Quins is whether the RFU will let them swap to a different
day without penalty, which I guess depends in turn on how the
bar takings get divided between them?

I was meaning cancel the ‘big game’ and play it at the Stoop
with the lower takings and hence lower profits
