We will never be able to compete in Europe (aka South Africa)
with so many journeyman players. Salary cap is not kind to the
English clubs but easy peasy for the franchises.

Better than I expected. Considering we took everyone off a
creditable score line and with luck no injuries.

A big to go there and win but I think we should have won , let’s
see how sharks cope with playing on a cold January day at the
stoop

Weak mentality at the end for me. We're a running team and a man
up with 2 minutes to go. Why are we kicking it back to them on
their halfway line so they can run it back deep into our half?
Even if they hadn't scored the try they're just going to run the
clock down. Just keep the ball in hand and give it a go.
Different if you're kicking deep into their half and might be
able to force a pen. If you're not then keep the ball and worst
case scenario we don't score but still have a 2nd losing bonus
point. Could be crucial in terms of qualification. Feels like we
just didn't have the guts to go for it.

If we really wanted to win we should not have taken majority of
best players off

I thought it was wise to take those players off. Got to target
the home games on balance.

Decent game, but I find it hard to be particularly fussed about
losing in the "European" cup. We did alright, not the best we've
played and certainly not the worst. Hopefully through unscathed,
same again next weekend and then back to the Prem.

Agreed. Prem it is for me too. Good to see Andre firing and
thought Walker and Lawday looked sharp so if we can use these
games to get played in form and avoid injuries, fine.

It is no longer the European cup, it's the champions cup. Get
over it, the SA teams will add alot to the comp. They bring
highly competitive teams and big TV money to the game.
Money is something Rugby really needs and if you don't innovate,
the game will continue to wither away.
Agreed that the salary cap hurts us. We will be losing Louw and
Marchant next season. Something needs to be done to level up the
money in each league. Good I sound like the All Blacks!
