To be fair, that stat is fairly useless without knowing how it
       was calculated.

I’m no economics expert but if everyone goes on strike for lots
more money which makes everything more expensive then the extra
money they get will be worth less than when they started as
inflation increases. Meanwhile all those without final salary
pensions, unions, high incomes…………can suck it up.
Actual incomes of the people on strike is never
mentioned. Is this because they wouldn’t get any sympathy
because a lot of people wouldn’t think it was that bad.

Everyone? Lots more money? Exactly how does the RMT make
       everything more expensive? Etc.

As I said , I’m no expert but I’ve just watched the news and
there are quite a number of unions wanting strike action for
more money. I’m assuming that money comes from somewhere .
Customers or taxpayers perhaps. I’m taking a wild guess here and
I’m probably wrong but in order to pay, for example , the rail
workers 9% plus extra perks, our taxes or maybe fares might have
to increase. Then people will want more income to cover this
extra cost to maintain their current lifestyle. They will then
ask or strike for more and so on.
And then Sadiq Khan expands the ULEZ to the whole of
Greater London next August which is going to kick all the lower
paid people with older vehicles right in the nads when things
are bad enough already. How many of them can go on strike. Its
going to cost all those that drive to the stoop in an eight year
old or more diesel vehicle £12.50 each visit. Then if the club
put season tickets up by inflation and parking too, people will
want more money to cover this sort of thing plus all their other
increases. Inflation runs out of control.
I’m mostly absorbing my increased costs as after adding
the £25000 mr Khan has just cost me I don’t think anybody could
       afford me.

So, if this is the only point that didn't make sense, then can I
assume that everything else I wrote was fine.
(Just remember, I will need a few assistants when I become

The gist of what MW was asking was pretty clear - if everyone
(or a sizeable minority ) asks for a 15% pay rise will this
drive inflation yet higher and lead to an inflationary spiral?
