That's cool. I'd like to see it happen, especially as the more
amateur nature of the women's game makes for a more classic
       Lions environment.

I think any women picked for the squad need to be paid, and they
need to be given the same support as a men's team. Let not fly
the women economy and the men first class.
Any profit should be used to develop the women's game.

I'm all on board with them making a team and touring, but if
they fly them all business class and pay them large sums there
won't be any profit. They would do very well to make any profit
even if they went by boat.
I do enjoy women's rugby and love to see it improving but I do
feel that this whole having to be equal (or as close to equal as
       possible) as men's isn't sustainable.
The growth should be organic, in my view. Sell more tickets,
travel packages etc. and then pay players more when the money is
       there.

But wouldn't the Lions just get an appropriate airline to
sponsor the team? Bingo Bango - free flights!
I can't see a women's Lions team paid what the men get but
treating them as amateurs would fly in the face of the
prevailing thinking around women's rugby. How many tier 1
nations still have completely amateur women's national teams? I
       think only Argentina and SA.

Why not tour at the same time as the men? Reduce costs and play
the games on a mid-week evening so the main touring party fans
       can attend...

Scotland Ireland and wales ladies teams are truly awful this all
this would be is an England squad rebranded .. not in favour ..
unless it was renamed British lionesses

Because that immediately pigeonholes them into a "warmup act for
the 'real' sport" role. It's one of the reasons why the double
headers are unpopular among women's sport. We've seen with all
of the major sports that the women's game works best and gets
more viewers/crowds when tournaments are allowed to stand alone.

Also, given the different picture in the womens rankings, I'd
expect them to tour to either Canada or USA instead of SA. Let
them tour on a 4 year cycle that matches up with their world cup
cycle the way the mens does. The next WRWC is in 2025, so a
Womens Lions tour should be 2027. If they had a decent amount of
planning they could make sure it falls into the gap between the
end of the mens & womens domestic seasons and the warm up games
for the mens world cup to ensure that the Rugby fans has always
       got something they can watch.

At the moment, the other home nations teams are weaker but much
of that is because England have been a pro team for much longer.
By 2027, the other Home Nations will have (hopefully) closed the
       gap.
Or put another way, Sarah Hunter has said she won't make
Australia 2025. Have the English pack with Jade Konkel in there
instead - after 4 years of not having to work as a firefighter
       as well as playing rugby.
