Sweeny and crew now need to evaluate they spaff £800,000 to see
Eddie gone and bring in a stop gap option, or see it out with a
coach thesquad no longer trust. I know SR is a popular option to
replace the gurning Aussie but I think Gatland would be the best
interim option to galvanise a squad short term

Defo not Gatland. Chalk and cheese. Remember British lions in SA
shambles vs Quins premiership triump. Totall different styles of
play. Gatland not capable of embracing what we need

I'm ambivalent at best about all the proposed options IF the RFU
sack Jones. And I think it is a vary BIG IF!
I don't see what Gats has to offer, hasn't been a resounding
success in NZ didn't' do that well with the Lions.....
I'd be tempted to give Robertson a go but it seems like a bit of
a shot in the dark.
Borthwick looked like a good bet till this season but having
lost a few big important players the wheels seem to be coming
off the Leicester bus

Liz Truss is available and could be a caretaker option

Probably not, but the RFU could appoint a head of lettuce as her
deputy to step in if she goes.

It won't be Gatland, according to this from the Telegraph...

Respect to Wales for taking action after assessing some very
poor results over the last few seasons. Will the RFU follow
suit?
Scott Robertson is my pick over anyone else left. I think for
England to prosper with its wealth of talent, someone who has
not been indoctrinated by the RFU/EJ way of doing things is key.
Perhaps SR may wait until after the WC to see if ABs come
calling, but if I were the RFU I would be looking to move
quickly.

I suspect the RFU will sack Jones, but out of weakness not
sporting merit. I was more in the sack camp until I heard the
way both Danny Care and James Haskell were speaking about him.
