Nick David

I thought that Nick had an excellent game on Friday evening and
I was wondering what others thought? On that performance he has
for me cemented a starting position but I wonder what will
happen once Tyrone is fit again. Those two tackles he put in to
save tries were textbook fullback stuff and with the first one
he really had a lot of ground to make up to get there in the
first place. I think the winger should have shown a bit more
guile and scored but credit to Nick that he didn’t. His speed is
also impressive and he offers a good option in attack as he has
shown on a few occasions this season. He is really benefiting
from regular game time like Anyanwu. Could he displace Tyrone as
a starter?

It will certainly be good to have a contest for the shirt, and
Nick has risen to the opportunity very well in what I believe is
his preferred position.
Given the severity of Tyrone's injury, I'd imagine he will be
eased back in once he's fit and so Nick will have the shirt for
at least a while longer - but equally, Tyrone is listed as
playing several positions. There may be an opportunity for him
at wing or 13 with Marchant off, for instance.

Based on his time at Worcester, fullback is David's best
position so we should start to see the best of him if he gets an
extended run there.
Still, it's going to take something special to supplant Tyrone
as first choice. He brings genuine x-factor in attack which puts
him a level above David for me.
If we can get Tyrone and/or Lynagh back for the business end of
the season, the coaching team will hopefully have a few
selection headaches across the back three.

Does anyone have any info on the injuries to Greene/Lynagh?

Good shout but Tyrone is always my starter if fit. He just
terrifies defences and opens up space that we can exploit with
quick ball.
Not taking anything away from David at all, really good player.
My daughter stated that she thinks he's doing a Huw Jones and
really coming on with game time. Those two try savers were up
there with Brownie & Tyrone. Amazing for a guy so small.

Thought Nick David had a blinder Friday night. Really gone up in
my estimation as wasn't sure about him initially tbh. I think he
gives the team alot of confidence knowing he defends so well

Thought someone said he'd been doing tackling work with Tabs. It
showed, not just stopping the winger but getting him to touch.

Amazing performance compared to when he played against London
Irish. How did this happen and will he keep up this performance?
