Hi Folks. A very big thank you to all the good wishes I've seen
on here (& the "Team v Barbarians" thread). It means a lot to
me. Thank you Nico Wilson for starting a special thread, just
for me.
Yesterday (Friday 18th Nov), I had a very uncomfortable
endoscopy + a biopsy on my pancreas. After the procedure, the
consultant came & spoke to me. He said that the pancreas was a
bit shrunken. When I asked about the possibility of "the big C",
he said that there was a "strong possibility" of that, but they
will have to wait for Histology analysis to be finalised &
confirmed in just over a week's time (a somewhat brutal, but at
the same time, honest response to my question).
All I can do now is just wait for the results.
Having said that, I will be going to the Stoop to watch the
women play Worcester Warriors, and on Friday 25th v Glaws.
Thank you all again. I really appreciate this.

Hello folks. After a whole gamut of tests (Ultrasound, CT, PET
scan & Two inconclusive Endoscopies), I am seeing a consultant
on Mon 23rd January, with a view to admittance for Pancreas
surgery. They have not conclusively found a malignancy, but are
being very cautious. This is via the NHS (not private) and I
cannot fault them at all.
Regularly reading this site (and contributing too) has helped
take my mind off things. Again, I would like to thank everyone
for their kind words.
Luckily, the weekend before, we have Cell C Sharks on the
Saturday & then on the Sunday, Quins women v Glaws-Hartpury, so
I will have little time to dwell on things. I do hope our women
can take down Glaws-Hartpury (who are sitting unbeaten at the
top of the table).
COYQ's !!!!!
