       RFU increases Six Nations prices

RFU hopes to bring in extra £800,000 to mitigate increased costs
  HTML https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2022/nov/01/rfu-hike-up-six-nations-prices-for-england-matches-over-rising-costs
To be honest, an extra £5 per ticket given their current prices
       is not that much!

I agree. Although if you look at it another way, they could have
raised it by a couple of quid and still made a chunk.

Well they know they have us by the short and curlies. We'll pay
it because we want to see England play and they know that they
can increase their corporate sales if we don't. Is always
       unpalatable though

Well they've gone too far for me. I live a 15 min walk from the
ground so have no other big costs associated with going but I'm
not going to any of the AIs for the first time in a decade.
Don't think they're worth paying nearly 100 quid for top tier
(for example) and certainly don't think 80 mins is worth heading
for 200 quid to sit somewhere where you can see.
Fortunate enough in our lifestyle that we could choose to
go...but I'd rather not spend that much and we've given up.
Saving it for more beer at the Stoop.

I thought this was the best bit of that article:
--- Quote from: The Guardian ---
       > Autumn Nations Series organisers, meanwhile, have been left
red-faced after it emerged official merchandise was carrying the
outline of the US state of Georgia, rather than the country
competing in the November fixtures. “The design error was
quickly identified, and all marketing and promotional material,
including merchandise, has been corrected and reissued to all
       parties,” a spokesperson said.

Or, on the other hand, they don't.
Some of us won't pay it and stopped paying it several years ago.
I watch the international games on't big telly at my local rugby
club, park outside, have a drink at a sensible price and go home
when I am ready without any traffic jams. There is an
       alternative.

Demand has so far outstripped supply. But it'll be interesting
to see what happens given the economy.

Would you go to a Bruce Springsteen concert or sit at home and
play the "Born in the USA" album via spotify? For some people
it's the equivalent thing, for others there's a huge difference.

Yes it is expensive, but it has never been cheap !
I love going, I still feel fortunate when I get the nod from my
club that I've got a ticket.

A Bruce Springsteen concert lasts twice as long as a rugby match
and people don’t keep getting up to get beers every five minutes
disturbing the view you’ve paid £200 quid for. I’m assuming that
most of the crowd at an England game are more interested in beer
and being there than what’s going on on the pitch.
