From that I'd probably go for
1. Genge
2. LCD
3. Sinkler
4. Itoje
5. Ribbans
6. Curry
7. Willis
8. Vunipola
9.VP
10. Smith
11. May
12. Farrell
13. Tuilagi
14. Nowell
15. Steward
Still feels very "samey" when really this is the time to be
trying new players out. It's a shame there's a few injuries to
contend with in some positions though.

This will be Sharky glasses but I can’t see Ribbans starting
over Hill

Oh I know EJ will start Hill, but I’ve liked the look of Ribbans
so thought might be worth more of a look with the WC in mind.
It’s a shame we have Ollie Chessum injured, I’ve liked what I’ve
seen of him. Surprised Ben Earl isn’t there as well, who’s been
probably the form 7 so far in the prem.

Re Ben Earl - I’ve always felt that he does so much great stuff
that’s blindingly obvious that he’s either one of the best
back-rowers in the world or he doesn’t do the basics well.

In previous seasons you absolutely could level criticisms at him
about some of the basics. His ball security was dreadful - he'd
lose it in contact constantly (remember Danny just nicking it
off him to score?). His discipline was frequently appalling. But
I'm not seen anything this season to suggest the former is still
a problem, and the latter has improved a lot albeit it's still a
work in progress.
Thing is, I think Jack Willis is just as good, and Curry is a
great international 7, and we could be just as annoyed about the
turnover demon we have not getting a look-in, etc. Perhaps if
England were trying to play a faster game then Earl would be
higher up the pecking order; as it is, Eddie wants a hammer not
a scalpel, so even though he's a good carrier & tackler, Earl
isn't going to batter the big guys in the same way as Willis or
Curry can.

I think the best "jackaler" in the country now is our own Will
Evans. I don't think it can be long before Eddie considers him.
Eddie was at the L. Irish game where Will had a great game.
