       I don't see a 'tackle'.

Proof that this isn't true is Smithy being stopped from playing
against Salarycens while they had all their England players, but
       that's conveniently forgotten about.

Just got home from the match , awesome win against a side who
raised their game whilst our game wasn’t great. I drove to the
match due to trains being all over the place so couldn’t have
the necessary alcohol needed to watch a classic nail biting
Quins comeback, I am now having a very very large vodka and coke
to make up for the loss of alcohol during the match. Have a good
night and enjoy the Quins win . COYQs

Just caught up with the game.
Clear pen against Matthews - would be fuming if that went
       against us
       Both red cards spot on
Simmons' yellow could have easily been a red, think he was a bit
       lucky
Bassett's yellow is annoying because he probably would have
caught it had he not tripped - but those are always given so
       fine
Ultimately just relieved to get the win, always seem to slip up
against Irish and almost did again today

Alcohol replacement therapy is too often ignored!

Do you see Matthews' left arm wrapped around him? That's a
tackle. It's also what caused such a dangerous landing for the
       Irish player.

managed to gather it before it hit the floor. There was nothing
between Matthews and the ball, same for for Van Rensburg...and
as such both of them were in a position to catch the ball.
Unfortunately VanR came off worse - hopefully his noggin is ok.

Loader had both arms going for the ball and came away with the
       ball in the air.
I agree that he only won the ball because he made contact in the
air and essentially stole the ball from David's grasp. I believe
it was an unfair challenge. However, it was still not as bad as
Matthews essentially clotheslining van Ransburg. Not as bad in
action, not as bad in outcome.

I think over the next 5 or 10 years rugby will become a
       different game.

No, I don't! I see Matthews with both arms outstretched to catch
the ball. As for Loader, as far as I'm concerned the foul is
already committed when he collides with his back. It was pure
luck that he landed with the ball in his hands.

Matthews also had both arms going for the ball. I think
'clotheslining' is a huge stretch. Sometimes genuine challenges
happen and someone unfortunately comes off worse. CM was in a
position to catch the ball so entitled to go for it.
