I think COVID is an easy excuse - the £35m bond was frankly
ridiculous, I'm astounded that they were able to raise the money
in the first place given that there was never a clear plan of
how the money + interest was going to be paid back by a business
that burns through cash.

I thought Wasps and Worcester had both been suspended from The
Premiership as both clubs went into administration. However
Warriors results were removed from the Premiership table but
Wasps remain. Are Premiership Rugby hoping that Wasps may be
rescued? If so they will be unlikely to fulfill the matches as
all the players and staff were made redundant and quite a few
now have moved to new clubs.
Surely Wasps results should also be removed from the table.

I don't think Wasps have cancelled two matches yet.

They cancelled against Exeter in Round 6 and Tigers in Round 7.
I think the crunch is this week, which will make it three in a
row.

They're hoping there might be a buyer who can step in soon
enough to allow Wasps to complete the season(which sadly I doubt
there be). Also, I think Wasps are trying to come up with a
defence to say that they shouldn't be relegated, so until that's
definitively settled, PRL have to at least show that they're
considering all options as to their fate.

Fair enough, Fred, but I hope they're not favouring Wasps over
Worcester who, despite having about a 5th of the debt, were
thrown out fairly quickly.

Having said this isn't simple, there is one aspect which
possibly is if you just consider the ground. It seems to be
accepted that 'success' is easier if you own your own ground.
1) Not sure anyone else has bought their own ground. They had
them.
2) The CBS Arena was always too large.
Some people are still considering this was a property deal for
Derek Richardson rather than a rugby club thing.

covid was eased by subsidies but not fully covered so it was one
of the elements to the problem for them, that's the point it
isn't any one thing, several factors contributed, severely
reduced revenue was one of them and affected so many more
including Quins.
