I’m actually not too disappointed by this. Since he was integral
to us winning the league, he never has been the same after that
tour with SA and his injuries. Seems too heavy and has lost his
explosiveness around the pitch. If he returns to that level then
he’s a big a loss, but so far this season I’ve been a bit
disappointed with him and we are missing Collier and him in
       tandem

It’s just possible that having two former front row Lions might
improve Williams in the scrum gents.

Be sad to see him go - at his best he was exceptional.
I’m not too worried about who comes in to replace him. We’ve
seen that Bomb is excellent at getting the most out of players,
so if he is happy with a signing I think there is a good chance
that they will cut the mustard. I’d probably rather see us
unearth an RWC bolter from a Tier 2 country than hire a big
       name.

Shame as he was imperious today

Maybe … Williams is 31 though. A bit late to still be learning
and he would come with a fairly hefty price tag.

Seems really early to be announcing players leaving?
Shame, bought in to replace Sink and he’s done a quality job. A
big step up to Sinks, gutted but our recruitments been pretty
       spot on in recent years.

Once the rumours are out there’s not point letting people
speculate, doesn’t do anyone any good, may as well announce it
and get on with the season - gives the fans a chance to say
thanks throughout the season rather than just quiz him on if the
       rumours are true too

Williams went from being a good prospect to being the worst
tighthead in the league a few years back. More penalties
       conceded than anyone else.

Not convinced that’s the only measure I would judge a prop by
but interesting nonetheless. Where is the list? Be keen to see
       who places where on it.

All the best to the big man - his try in the Final was the best
       on the day!
