Too many players had an off day. It got to the point the hardest
decision was possibly which players to replace.
On the positive side, Louw seemed to be doing well, as did Green
(pre-injury) and Murley, as always, and Herbst. Andre tried hard
but was well marshalled. Marcus looked out of sorts.
Kenningham/Evans didn't have their usual influence. Marchant
seemed unable to get involved. I thought Musk had a poor game
overall, and Lamb didn't have his best game.
Too many errors, too many below par performances, afainst a team
that played very, very well (and had the rub of the green at
times).
Well played Leicester. A deserved win.

Who had played about 55 mins less rugby and wasn't carrying the
ball.

Cadan seemed to run out of puff right at the end. A shame, as a
hat-trick would have been some reward for him.

For me the worst game we have had since Gustard was in charge.
Not helped by missing the last try by thinking the game was over
when Tigers kicked it out and only heard the try being scored
from the toilets.
Back on topic, not sure if we didn't seem to be able to react to
Tiger's defence or if they just shut down everything we tried.

I think this is a fair counterpoint to my original post.
A team containing Collier, a fit Lewies (does this exist?),
Dombrandt, and one of Lawday / Chisholm in it, acquits itself
better. Add Launchbury to that, if it happens, and we are a
slightly different proposition, and maybe it allows us to
compete. Reality is, those guys aren't out there at the moment
and there's no indication when we'll see them, if it happens at
all.
As it is, the personnel we have out there up front at the moment
are a huge step below what the teams we are facing have out on
the other side of the field.
We had a similar start the year we won the title, and I think it
needs a couple of weeks and some guys back to install the sort
of rugby we've gotten used to seeing. However, there's no
guarantee. That said, we're unlikely to lose anyone other than
Marcus and maybe Marler to England for the AIs, so we may get a
chance to get that done. Let's see. Right now, we look a lot
like a 6-8th place team. But agree that lots can change.
Fair play to Leicester though. Did a proper number on us.

Reads like a lot of people weren’t there today. Everyone around
me said the officials were appalling. Guess they’re all wrong
🙄
