I think the earlier in the week calls for Andre to start off of
the bench, with hindsight, were right as well. He looked very
rusty and Tigers double/tripled up on him and took the risk that
he wouldn't be able to offload. He'll need some games to come up
to speed but with the Enya match on Friday, might be best to
start Lennox.
I love Northmore but still think we miss out defensively without
Marchant at 13 in these big games. I'd bring him back in and,
depending on Tyrone's fitness (didn't look good, right in front
of us) hope that Beard is fit as David may well be playing at 15
for a while.
Have to accept that we got beaten up yesterday and their back
row schooled us and highlighted our light-weightedness (not a
word). We've lost our carrier who can get over the gainline and
as much as I like Archie, he's too far below what Dommers gives
us there. Agree with above, bring Taulani in with a remit of
just carrying and carrying and getting us over the GL, then play
quickly.

I think we also have an issue with our bench and this is felt
even more so with our current injury list. We quite clearly
don’t trust the options we have coming off the bench as we were
crying out for some sort of change early in the second half as
our plan A was quite clearly not working as planned.
This is shown by our situation at 9. I’m not sure Care trained
all week, if we had a proper second option, there is no chance
he would have been starting. We looked like a team whose 9-10-12
hadnt played together for five month.

I think that the rustiness was probably one of the factors in
him throwing the intercept pass.
The try killed us yesterday. Until this point there was still
some hope.

Find those comments strange as Sarries were far more dominant
against us than Leicester were, they just defended better than
Sarries, bet possession and field position stats were better for
us on Sunday than against Sarries.

I think it was the manner of the defeat. We were outclassed by
Sarries in the second half. Leicester just overpowered us. When
you simply don't front up and have been bullied for 80mins,
that's whats difficult for Tabai to stomach.

He said that the first half of the Chiefs match was the first
time since he's been here that he's felt we've just not fronted
up, or words to that effect. So he needs to work out why this
has happened in 2 of the last 3 matches.
The latest pet phrase they're using is "put yourself under the
bus". I guess this means the element of the game that takes no
skill - just being willing to hit as hard as possible each time
you carry / go into a breakdown. Some players, despite their
size, just never seem to have the impact you'd expect, whereas
other smaller players make yards through contact that they have
no right to. I'm not sure if this is just due to mindset, or
something which could be coached.
There's no getting away from the fact though that we are
currently underpowered in the forwards.
I am still hopeful that we can get on a run later in the season,
as long as we can stay in touch now. The end of last season and
beginning of this one have been fairly stop-start. We need some
players back and then some momentum.
I hope that they can look at the fixtures for the second part of
the season to ensure that we don't end up playing during the 6
nations and then having 3 weeks off due to bye weeks and
cancelled games.

I don't think we failed to front up against Tigers. We just got
beaten physically by a physically superior team. Again Exeter,
that first half was an absolute horror show of our own making.
That's not to say we didn't make mistakes against Tigers - too
many knock-ons, Northmore blowing a try, some dumb penalties -
but a lot of that comes from being starved of possession and
being under huge pressure in possession and in defence.
