I always blame the stewards when the ref makes a mistake.

I love all you “we just showed up to support Quins” lot getting
upset coz we’re mid table.
That’s where we always are barring twice in the last twelve
years.
Calm down and have a beer.
We deserved to lose today.
But the ref is utterly incapable of officiating at this level -
he was a total joke and deserves far more abuse than he got.
(Just modifying to say abuse was definitely the wrong word here
-- didn't mean for a second anyone should abuse the officials,
but a good boo-ing is all part of the fun, and he certainly
deserved a good many boos and polite suggestions that he watch
the big screen a bit more. There were some very funny shouts
from people around us.)

Where did I say that anyone blamed the ref for us losing?

You can lose and still say the officiating was bad.

I didn't think the ref did much wrong. Obvious forward pass
missed in the build up to one of their tries. TMO as much to
blame thete. Few breakdown decisions could have gone either way,
but we got a couple which could have gone in tigers ' favour
too. One dodgy scrum pen. But I didn't think he did much wrong.

Don't listen to people at the match about the ref. Most of them
have no idea what the laws are or how they're applied and
they're all in a far worse position to judge than the ref.

Quite. He was a liability and shouldn’t ref a Prem match again.
But we still should have lost.
