The Rugby Paper is saying we're in the hunt for Launchbury...
Sorry, didn't see the other thread already discussing this.
However, also of note is what Christian Day of the RPA has just
tweeted:

> Pleased to report that 20+ former Worcester Warriors have
moved off of @theRPA Free Agents list and found new playing
opportunities.

> We also met with the Wasps squad on Friday to give them
collective support and advice in what are undeniably challenging
times for our members.

Imagine you're the player. You've got a choice between putting
your body on the line to make a try saving tackle... or
conceding the points but being able to play next week.
>

accept a massive drop in salary and struggle through the rehab
in the hope that you get to play again? Or would you accelerate
your plan for a post rugby career?

them to risk their health for our entertainment. We continue to
pay injured players their salaries because that's the deal the
clubs make. If they reach the end of their contract, or it looks
like they won't be able to play again, the club generally helps
them move into the next phase of their career.

committed to the sport, and a lot more likely to leave it after
one bad injury.

Which was a joke.
Players aren't more committed because they're paid more. Smith's
commitment was plain to see when he was on an academy contract.
There's plenty of amateur players who've given everything to
their sport.

By which reasoning a player will give 100% whatever he is being
paid (within reason).

How is it other clubs can do this and they don't have our long
term sick list? Something doesn't add up

That would be excellent, he's a class winger and will score a
boatload in our team.

Paolo Odogwu and Vincent Koch have just signed for Stade
Francais.
So that's Josh Bassett to Quins, Will Porter to Bristol, and
Robin Hislop to Sarries.
Apparently Biyi Alo has gone to Racing, and Brad Shields has
gone to Perpignan.
