I think it depends on the position though. We can put Marcus,
Danny, Marler, Marchant, Walker, Lewies, Dombrandt on the bench,
as you'd normally expect players in those positions to be on the
bench. We basically never have an out and out 12 or centre on
the bench though, preferring a back 3 / utility player. Marchant
and Northmore can drop to the bench as they cover 13 and back 3.
If Andre starts from the bench, assuming we also have 9 and 10
cover, you're hoping none of the back 3 players need replacing
as otherwise Andre and Lennox have to player 12 and 13 and
Marchant / Northmore have to move back.
I also think Marcus came straight back in to start vs Exeter,
though I appreciate Allan wasn't motm vs Sarries

       1. Last season Lenny tended to play #13 when playing at
       Richmond.
       2. Yes - but, in the same match, I think that Care was on the
       bench.

       Care had been injured though.

We are forgetting Esterhuizen was player of the year for the
whole prem in many people’s eyes last year. Whilst Anyanwu was
good vs Northampton, he isn’t near the levels of Andre yet.
Especially with the backrowers we’ll be missing, we desperately
need the power and ball carrying of Andre against a physical
Tigers side who are hurting after being bullied by Sarries and
       Sale

I'm a big fan of Andre.
But, I just think it would be harsh to drop a young player who
just got a MoM performance in his last game.
If you do Lenny completely for the next game (as some posters
are suggesting), then you can't moan about his next performance
of he doesn't get a game for a few months.
Basically, players need a run of games to get some improvement.
For me, Lenny has the shirt. Andre has to take it off him.
So, for me, either Andre is on the bench. Or Lenny starts at 13.

Really ? You'd prefer to start a rookie with a few Prem games
experience against the current Premiership champions rather than
the Prem Player of The Season of international quality ? Lennox
has been an adequate subsitute in Andre's absence, but Andre
doesn't have to prove himself to re-claim the shirt - he's
already done that the past 2 seasons

If Andre is fit and healthy then he starts. Lennox may well come
good in time. But Andre is the real deal.

Plus we’re going to keep losing Andre, we need to use him as
       much as we can.

I think that if Andre is fit, then we should pick him v Tigers.
Lennox is still somewhat a "work-in-progress" (albeit a very
promising one). We are lucky to have one of (arguably) the best
centres in the world. Can't wait though to see Dommers back as
       well !

This is the key point - Andre and Lennox are going to be sharing
the 12 shirt pretty evenly this season anyway because of Andre's
international involvement, so when he's available to us, he
starts every time for me. Will still give Lennox half the season
to lock himself in as the longer term heir to Andre's throne.
