Apart from Visser I thought everyone did very well. Saracens are
a very very good side and we nearly had them.

Didn’t manage to watch it nor catch any snippets of highlights
yet. Can anyone shed light as to what happened to Lasike?
Whatever happened it didn’t sound too good and I hope he’s ok!

He went in for a low tackle and his head connected with
Skelton's knee. Looked like he was out cold for a while. Shame
as I was looking forward to seeing what impact he could make.
Got to say Alofa Alofa played very well when he came on as they
all did.

My evening was spoilt by two young lads sitting next to me, they
spent all game chatting & texting & had no interrst in the Rugby
at all. I dont know why they were there. At one point I tried to
talk to them & see if I could get them to actually watch & show
some interest in the game, but it was pointless. They
disappeared halfway through the second half. It was cold & wet &
I dont like evening games.
But Quins played pretty well. The application in defence is way
ahead of last season. Smith & Alofa might have been seen as a
light pairing but both stood firm. I thought Joe was immense,
never took a backward step, best game for ages. Bothma tackled
eveything. The lineout worked very well until Dave came on.
Crumpton needs to stay fit. How bizarre was that Marchant try?
Dont think I've ever seen that happen before! We seemed to lose
it when the replacement front row came on.
Another bonus point & although a loss, it was a tight hard
fought competitive loss. That must bode well for the rest of the
season surely? Good crowd noise too & the Stoop looked almost
full.

Thought I'd chime in... What a fabulous night at the Stoop! The
team played with real guts,fight and spirit. Mike and Danny were
on fire, and Danny's try was hallmark Care. Our defence was
fabulous. I too thought that we could have stolen it in the
last moments, we just needed not try to force, that pass from
Cat(?) was daft.
We looked and felt like a team. The crowd was phenomenonal. So
much better when Mighty Quins is spontaneously song and not
forced. Onwards and upwards. Gustard must feel very proud

I loved Semi-Detached when he came on. Would not want that
flying at me pinned in a ruck for sure. I'd deffo be bricking
it.

Whilst the ref is drawing the 'usual' comments I suspect the ref
was 'influenced' by the game being shown live in the US.
I would guess the last thing everyone would want on a cold wet
windy night would be an arm wrestle scrum dominated forwards
scrum, penalty, lineout catch and drive feast. Instead we got a
classic derby match with no quarter given or asked for, so
considering all the factors I think the ref should get an
applause for giving us the game we got. It could have been oh so
different given the conditions

Conditions were not that terrible. There was some intermittent
showers and a bit of wind coming and going but you'd expect pro
players to be able to cope tbh.

Im 50/50 re the ref. Watched a bit back today. He clearly told
both sides not to close the line at the LO, next LO we close the
line, bosh, free kick. He clearly told both captains to stop
the back chat and the lip, Marler mouths off, bosh, pen and 3
points. Sorry but no matter how picky you think the ref may be
that is school boy from Quins. He has laid out the law, follow
it. He gave a pen against Sarries for mouthing off and told
them he had done the same against us. I will say that the
Robshaw (non) penalty was awful. Clearly a pen to us.
Offsides, both teams rode their luck. He got a few t hings
wrong but my gripe with Quins is dont give him the chance to
give the pens against you in the first place. A few happen,
always will. Some are really avoidable and have cost us points
all season (and I think a win or two)
