Can't get too worked up about a loss in this comp. Glad we made
it close and tightened up.

Positives:
Cleaves is very fast. Not that effective off his wing looking
for work. Lurking on the wing, however, lethal. Great recovery
speed in defence too. Offers something different to Murley and
Lynagh.
Won the last hour 26-13.
Benson has something about him, would like to see him start
against Saracens next round.
The replacement flanker (20) who came on was good over the ball.
Weds goal kicking looks better.
2 points probably keeps us in contention if we win a couple of
other games.
Taulani a monster. Really surprised he’s not involved with
Dombrandt out.
Lots of not so good (box kicking, speed of the game off 9,
recycling the ball in general, absence of punch in midfield
other than taulani, lineout drills, defence in opening
15 mins) which is a long list and therefore enough to lose us
the game.
If we still have a league in a years time after the World Cup,
we need to throw a blank cheque at a very good scrum half from
another prem club, NZ, or Jaden Hendrikse. Danny care is going
to leave a massive void and nine is so so so important for the
way we play.

Completely disagree about Taulani. Yes he carried okay? But he
is well well off the necessary fitness and stamina. His defence
was hindered massively by this.
How R Chis is still a professional rugby player is beyond me
too. Should be blooding in new talent instead of him. Stafford
too, so so so slow. We are in trouble if he is ever needed in
the prem
Benson and Baxter the standouts for me

Think taulani is being slightly overhyped. Some good carries in
this game does not mean he should be promoted to the match day
squad.

Agreed - for me he's competing with Chisholm (edit - and White)
for fifth choice back row at the moment.

The worst thing was the almost complete absence of the Quins DNA
we hear so much about.

Don’t understand any praise for Taulani, he carried a couple but
otherwise clueless, he’s a red card waiting to happen and had
very little influence in defence.
Stafford meanwhile is awful.

Really? I thought we gave them a good lead and then had to try
and claw it back 😀

Think that can be said all over the club. Watching Sarries or
Irish you could be forgiven for thinking their will to play a
quick off loading based games is better than ours.

Ultimately we’ve come up second best in these fixtures for a
while so either their coaching isn’t hitting home, or they
aren’t simply good enough. Probably both.
