We left a couple of tries out there in the first half. A shame
the forward pass prevented a try midway through the second half
too.
However, we scored some really good tries through some great
vision and positive ambition. Anyanwu's try was a really special
effort. I thought he did pretty well, overall. Gjaltema had a
good game, Dombrandt too.
40 points away from home in a seesaw game should make the boys
proud. Especially on the devil's own plastic pitch!!! Still,
loads to work on for next week. Sarries are a significant step
up and will test us more rigorously. Happy with scrum and
lineout but maul defence and preventing turnovers has to be
worked on. Oh, and beware of their high shots boys!!!

Is Saracens’ cup game being rescheduled? They’d picked a very
experienced side to play against Saints’ reserves which would
basically have been a free hit out on their bye week.
Even if it is rescheduled, I doubt they’ll be able to field that
kind of side with a short turnaround before next weekend’s game.
Hopefully today will have shaken off some of the rust and we
catch them cold.

Wasn’t expecting much from the maul defence but the scrum was
worryingly awful.

Gjaltema, I think. Critical to cling on to him- shows that
Radwan isn't that special on only one leg...

Pretty sure it was Murley - great tackle and Radwan’s resultant
error is likely why Eddie doesn’t rate him despite his
blistering pace.

To me it seemed like a comms issue. The winger moved towards
Radwan to hit the breakdown and either didn't say or Radwan
didn't hear him, causing Radwan to throw the offload to the
wing.

Just seen the Anyanwu length of the field try on replay. That is
a thing of beauty- and he showed great vision, skill and effort
in both starting and finishing it. He’s not Andre, but he could
offer something different and equally effective as he grows into
the role.
