Yep. Similar sort of pressure applies to the TV companies,
particularly the Beeb, given their status as the main
publicly-funded PSB. Whatever they decide will always be either
not enough or too much. For instance, contrast the uproar over
Peter Sissons' tie colour when the Queen Mother died ("How DARE"
he wear any colour other than black! It's Treason!") with the
response to Prince Philips' death & funeral last year ("Why oh
why have the BBC given this wall to wall coverage! People
shouldn't have to pay for this! It's an OUTRAGE!").
Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
