This Partnership is everything that is wrong with Championship
rugby, you have a club that is playing in a division (that has
the odd club that wants promotion and rest that don't) bringing
in loan players on mass that may influence who wins the league
who have no intention of gaining promotion, just trying to
ensure they remain in the championship. If the championship want
to earn the right to ask for automatic promotion they should get
their house in order to restrict the number of loan/dual
registered players at each club, and to not become a training
ground for the younger players. Please let the Championship be a
serious League and not a Premiership Reserve league.

In an ideal world, maybe. But few championship sides can afford
the team to challenge for promotion, and the loan players help
the prem clubs keep their squads match fit and developing while
letting the championship sides have access to better players
without the cost of having them on their books.
It distorts the competition, but it makes pro and semi pro rugby
as a whole more sustainable. Better competition is desirable,
but the current set up helps clubs survive, which is probably
more important right now.

I completely see where ESC is coming from, but agree with
Poorfour.
In an ideal world we'd have a proper A league which clubs take
seriously, some sort of cup and a thriving Championship. Sadly,
we don't.
The Championship has always been distorted and unfair. There's
usually the team relegated from the premiership, with a far
superior squad, probably a bigger budget and a parachute
payment. Then there are a few clubs with the budget and desire
to win the competition and get promoted. Ealing, Pirates, etc.
Then there are clubs who are competitive but don't really want
to get promoted as they're not ready to survive as a premiership
club and don't have the facilities. Finally there are the clubs
who are semi-pro with no hope on competiting with the bigger
clubs.
So while I agree that our partnership distorts things, it's good
for our squad players, good for Scottish as a club, probably
good for their other players who get to learn from our guys and
coaches. Arguably stronger competition helps the league too

That's a one-eyed perspective. If the structure was the other
way round, with those who are currently Quins players contracted
by Scottish and loaned to us as and when we wanted them, with
the same financial arrangements for the players, would that make
a difference? Surely you wouldn't want to deny a Championship
player the chance to play for a Premiership club "on loan"? It's
really semantics. And, every Championship club has an equal
opportunity to do such a deal, surely.

Obviously you have trouble reading what I posted, read it
properly I said restrict number of loan players not ban them.

Well, the tone of your post hardly conveys that was your sole
objection (opening words: "This Partnership is everything that
is wrong with Championship rugby"). That said I will grant that
you did then refer to "bringing in loan players on mass" — by
which I'm assuming you meant "en masse."
Is there no limit to the number of players who can be
dual-registered/on loan, then?
