Electronic Advertising Boards too bright?
DIR By: toast

Did people looking towards the DHL stand have problems seeing
the play when it was close to the electronic advertising board
last night? Both of us in attendance, and a number of others
around us, struggled. Ironically it was extremely hard when the
DHL logo was displaying......
I know it’s necessary from a commercial stand point but could it
be toned down a bit?

Yes we noticed that and well. May just be because it was night
time so it was brighter than it would be in the day.

It was a genuine question, not a whinge! I was asking what
others experience was.
As you will see in my original post I do say that I understand
the need for advertising , however, if a lot of people who
attend , and pay for the privilege, find it annoying and that it
spoils their experience perhaps it could be toned down a
fraction.....
I have been a season ticket holder for over 25 years and have
attended matches for nearly 50, and during that time have seen
massive change at the club and in rugby in general, some good
and some bad so by asking a simple question On a supporters
board i am apparently crying and whinging about the club? Don’t
think so!
This is the problem with keyboard warriors like you if I asked
you face to face your response would have been just a bit more
civil.

Yes, we and those around us felt the same, the advertising was
extremely bright and intrusive, it affected viewing the action
on the pitch

This principle must be applied to all pub conversations too.
Don't express a negative opinion until you've exhausted all
official channels.

I sit in the DHL stand so couldn't directly see the problem but
did think that the ball boys had this eery orange glow which
must have been coming from the display boards.

I 100% agree, the DHL one was the issue and all I hope for is,
as above, during day games it is less noticeable and for the
next night game it's turned down a notch
