some posters that quite a lot of Quins fans have to travel for
2+ hours to get to a regular home game so the idea of a cold
soggy bacon sarnie made many hours ago & sat in someone's pocket
congealing grease may not be as palatable as is suggested and
the idea of hot tasty food at the Stoop is actually quite a good
one?

The bacon sandwich is going to be cold in about 10 minutes, so
it doesn't matter where you live. (almost) everybody lives more
than ten minutes away from the Stoop, so it's going to be cold
any way. Delicious!.
It would be a different matter if the foodf at the Stoop WAS hot
and tasty. But it isn't.
Any road. I am just trying to be helpful. If it works for you -
fine. If it doesn't work - then, no problem.
Now then - hands up - who wants a cold bacon sarnie?

I can understand people planning to eat at the ground if the
food is known to be good, but when it's hit and miss why even
take the chance? Even as a bit of a fatty I can go all day
without needing to stuff my face.

That was kind of my point, the food used to be good when the
Kohn's ran it but it's gone downhill since unfortunately. On a
Saturday match day, we eat at the lovely little Thai place by
Strawberry Hill station which is on the way to the ground for us
but for Friday night matches that doesn't work so well. In
future rather than try more of the dirge the club offers, we'll
find somewhere that does better

Food was going downhill under the Kohns too. Pizzas have been
good in recent seasons though
