Worcester hit by HMRC winding up order

Breaking in Telegraph that Worcester have been hit by HMRC
winding up order appears to relate to outstanding PAYE from some
months back. All sorts of rumours flying around will SD now buy
the current owners out? What a mess for start of season.

HMRC did this to another club a while back. It's a (tough)
negotiating tactic on their part. Let's hope they can sort it.
Ironically it was Wasps in 2010 hit with a winding up order, but
they did the same to London Welsh and Neath also.

Potentially both Worcestor and Wasps could hit thr wall before
the season starts.

Presumably this hits both the mens and womens teams, and so
could throw both fixture lists out the window.
Ditto the Wasps situation.

DMP had to raise another £50,000 to compete this season so I
think that’s a bit derogatory.

A quick google revealed that the ten Premiership 15s clubs will
be expected to come up with £240,000 each per year over the next
ten years to fund investment in the game. That’s without the
general running costs of a team.

The point is they wouldn’t have raised it through ticket sales
so losing a fixture would be irrelevant.

Could be interesting, it's possible that both Worcester and
Wasps could go into administration before or during the season,
if so 35 point deductions if I'm correct.
Is relegation back for the 22/23 season or is it a locked League
again this year?
