Wasps have apparently added Ashley Johnston to the academy
coaching line-up, meaning he leaves Moseley and finally hangs up
his playing boots.
The Moseley press release talks about their club not standing in
the ways of such an opportunity.

I can imagine they are struggling to sell season tickets: given
all the noise around the finances you'd have to be a brave
person to pay in full for the 22/23 season...
As for the bond, I'm not surprised to see it end in tears. Was
an exploitative financial product from the get go (use fans'
emotional connection to flog them a product that you couldn't
sell to a rational investor). I thought less of Quins when they
started talking about one.

Wasps move to Coventry was always ill-conceived. I understand
they were trying to create a new home by owning their own
stadium, with the additional revenue streams this could create,
but it was utterly naive to think they could move 100 miles up
the road and retain their support base, or generate enough new
fans to fill the Ricoh given the average attendances for matches
across the Prem.
A lesson here for Quins I hope. Redevelopment and expansion of
the Stoop remains the best option.

Completely agree KentQuin.
Best to sell out game after game after game and then increase
ticket prices to raise revenues and at the same time
improve/expand the Stoop.
I'm wary of a "knock it over completely and build a new one"
style of redevelopment. I'd prefer incremental change e.g. fill
in the corners with more seats. Or do it stand-by-stand.

Agreed. I've got relatives in Nuneaton, a couple of miles from
Coventry and it's definitely Tigers territory.
It's 20 miles up the M69 from Cov to Leicester. Sure, in London
you can have multiple clubs in a 20 mile radius, but most of the
area between Coventry & Leicester is countryside. Birmingham /
Wolverhampton is the big local market but, Coventry is very much
not Birmingham.

I think all the facts in the public domain have been reported in
the mainstream press. Much of what's been discussed on the rugby
message boards is supposition or speculation.

The thing is "what we'd prefer" and "what Quins can afford / get
planning permission for / practically do within the confines of
the season" are two different things.
I suspect that we'll need to recover from the COVID-19 financial
hit before they can do too much on upgrading the stadium (and
it's lucky in hindsight that they hadn't embarked on anything
major ahead of the crisis). It's likely that we'll have a couple
of years of increased prices, caps on the number of season
tickets, innovations like the new North Stand bar and making the
most of BG and BSKO (and maybe pushing for a third game - is
there a way to make a season-opener at the Big Stoop work?)
Then it's likely to be a question of what offers the best
balanced of increased capacity vs payback vs what they can get
planning permission for. The constraints around expanding into
the North Car park have always been cited as a barrier to
filling in the corners, but maybe things can change.
