* presuming Jack Walker isn’t tied by England rest period
* assuming Marchant despite only playing first test has same
restrictions as Care, Smith etc
* not sure if Dombrandt will be fit by start of season
* I know Collier has been first choice TH but can Louw being
given the start for first game
* Steele has been out a long time so could be Stafford on bench
* Not sure with Rugby Championship when Andre is available, he
played so much last year & Quins had great depth at 12 with
Jones & Lasike which wasn’t needed. Big step up for Lennox as
back up 12
* Think with Kennigham fit Quins will use conventional back row
rather than 2nd row at 6 as he’s a great lineout option

I think estherhuizen was only due to be out for 4 weeks. Guess
we might see him a couple of games into the season. Really need
Lennox or whoever gets selected there to step up.
I reckon Hammond will be ahead of Herbst in the pecking order
for now.
Hopefully a breakthrough season for Baxter too as I can see
marler retiring after rwc

He's in the South African squad for the Rygby Championship which
doesn't finish till end of Sept, he'll may then be in the squad
for Autumn Internationals.
We may not see much of him this year.

Interesting to see what our second row pairing will be. I
thought Herbst was bought in to replace Symons in terms of heft
and the dark arts. Not sure Hammond and Steph is a bulky enough
duo but let’s see. When is Lamb back?

I suspect he won't see a lot of action, as his arm break will
see hom out of training for some time, then he has to get back
up to fitness. SA have brought the awesome Frans Steyn back into
the squad, so they have quite a bit of backline cover.

Esterhuizen reportedly broke something on his hand and the
estimate at the time (11 July) was he would be out for four
weeks.
Speaking of injured saffas some of the club video on insta shows
Green back in training so hopefully fit for start of season?
