I think we're talking at cross purposes here to a certain
extent. For a start the article was about rugby in NZ. I don't
know how they manage their internationals but I'd expect the
replacements not to have that much effect on how long the ball
is in play, cards, TMO etc which is what Dagg was going on
about.
By all means try to sidetrack the thread for your own agenda,
though. 🙂

No agenda here sir. I asked a VERY simple question. The thread
is called "People are getting bored", and then the article says
people are watching RL for entertainment ahead of RU. I was
relating to those parameters......not specifically Dagg.
From my own experiences lately regarding people getting bored of
Union, I merely inquired if RL loses so many top players to
national duty so often as RU, and therefore, do they see there
being more entertainment in RL as they will see their fave
players so much more.
As you rightly said "I don't know how they manage their
internationals", so I have really no clue why you felt the need
to reply in the first place. If I am at cross purposes to your
own point then dont reply, as it clearly doesnt affect you.
By all means deflect attention away from your own failings,
though :)

You do know the article was about the rise in popularity of RL
over RU in NZ?
I don't believe anyone has suggested that this is the case here.

Literally the first piece of text other than the article link:-
"Less likely to happen here. Certainly with the way Harlequins
play I would say you get entertained for your money, but is that
true of all games and all teams?"

IIRC Dagg also used that SoO game to complain about the red
cards in union, so...
